Every day has 3 goals: your daily core (the same every day), Task 2 and Task 3, each with a short why. Open a day to read all three.
Daily core Same every day
Learn and explain one money idea
Why: Explaining an idea with an example shows what you understand and what to look up next.
Task 2
Find your pay stub and check your take home pay
Find your latest pay stub or deposit record. A paycheck, benefits, an allowance or client payments all count. Write the amount before anything is taken out, the amount that actually lands in your account, and the three biggest things in between. No income right now? Write what money comes in each month, even if it is zero.
Why: Your real take home number shows what you actually have to plan with.
Task 3
List every account in Budget by nickname
In Budget's Accounts or on a private page, list checking, savings, cards, loans and old accounts you forgot, by nickname only. Never enter full account numbers or passwords.
Why: Seeing every account in one place gives you real examples for the ideas ahead.
Daily core Same every day
Learn and explain one money idea
Why: Explaining an idea with an example shows what you understand and what to look up next.
Task 2
Pull your free credit report
Go to AnnualCreditReport.com, the official free site, and request your report from at least one of the three credit bureaus. Save it somewhere private and skim it for anything you don't recognize. You'll read it closely on Day 9.
Why: Your credit report follows you into apartments, loans and some jobs. Seeing it yourself shows what they will see.
Task 3
Write two questions your report raises
Skim the report's sections and write two questions, like what an inquiry is or why an old account still shows. No report yet? Write two questions you have about credit reports.
Why: Your own questions give later core lessons a clear starting point.
Take care: Only use the official free site. You never need to pay, enter a card number or start a trial to get your free credit report.
Daily core Same every day
Learn and explain one money idea
Why: Explaining an idea with an example shows what you understand and what to look up next.
Task 2
List every subscription and cancel one
Scroll your last two statements and your phone's subscription settings. Write every recurring charge with its price and renewal date, then cancel one you don't use or love. If everything stays, downgrade one plan instead. No subscriptions? Review one recurring expense and write your decision.
Why: Subscriptions are built to be forgotten. Today's list shows every recurring charge and lets you choose which ones stay.
Task 3
Put every renewal date in your calendar
Why: A reminder three days before each renewal turns a surprise charge into a real choice.
Daily core Same every day
Learn and explain one money idea
Why: Explaining an idea with an example shows what you understand and what to look up next.
Task 2
Set a reminder for one bill's due date
Review one bill's due date, payment options and available balance. Set a reminder. Use automatic payment only if you understand the amount and timing and can keep sufficient funds available; the reminder alone is a valid choice.
Why: A reliable setup should reduce missed payments without creating an overdraft risk.
Task 3
Turn on alerts for large charges
Why: Most accounts can text or email you when a charge goes over an amount you pick. It's a free early warning for fraud and mistakes.
Daily core Same every day
Learn and explain one money idea
Why: Explaining an idea with an example shows what you understand and what to look up next.
Task 2
Look up your account's fees and turn off one you don't need
Find the fee schedule for your main bank account in the app, on the website or in your account agreement. Circle every fee you paid in the last three months. If one is avoidable, like paper statements or a service you never use, switch it off or call and ask them to remove it.
Why: Fees are quiet. Reading the list once shows which charges you can avoid.
Task 3
Set a low balance alert to avoid one fee
If your bank offers low balance alerts, turn one on at an amount that gives you time to act. No alert option? Set a weekly reminder to check your balance instead.
Why: An early warning helps you avoid overdraft and minimum balance fees.
Daily core Same every day
Learn and explain one money idea
Why: Explaining an idea with an example shows what you understand and what to look up next.
Task 2
Turn on two step sign in for your money accounts
Go through your bank, card and payment accounts and turn on two step sign in wherever it's offered. Change any password you've used somewhere else to a new, unique one.
Why: Unique passwords and two step sign in add a stronger lock to your money accounts.
Task 3
Write your lost wallet plan
Write the fraud phone number for each card and bank, from the back of the card or the official app, and keep the list somewhere safe that isn't your wallet.
Why: A ready plan means you can act in minutes if your wallet goes missing.
Daily core Same every day
Learn and explain one money idea
Why: Explaining an idea with an example shows what you understand and what to look up next.
Task 2
Do your first weekly Accounts check-in
Light day. Open Accounts in Budget, update each balance by nickname and pick your weekly check-in day. Then write one thing from this week that felt easier than you expected.
Why: A weekly check-in turns money from a mystery into numbers you actually know.
Task 3
Write why you started this pack
Why: Your reason is what brings you back on the busy weeks, so keep it where you can find it.

How Money Smarts 100 works
What you do each day
3 goals a day. Your daily core, Learn and explain one money idea, is the same every day. The other two are new each day: Task 2 builds the habit and Task 3 adds a different angle. Each one comes with a short why.
Time and effort
Most days fit around a normal day, all 3 goals together. Some days are lighter, and nothing needs to happen at a set time.
Difficulty and pace
Gentle. Starts small and builds slowly. Good if you're brand new to this. Milestone badges at 10, 25, 50 and all 100 fully completed days mark how far you came.
Easier alternatives and rest days
Most goals have an easier alternative. “Choose an easier alternative” puts it in its place, and it counts the same as the original goal: the same square, streak and rewards. A rest day protects the streak on days life happens.
Pausing or switching
With another challenge going, you can pause this one any time. Resume later and you pick up on the same day you left. Remove it instead and your history stays: ticks, notes and photos. You always keep at least one challenge going. Up to 3 packs can be active at once, your main challenge included. Active and scheduled packs count; paused, finished and not started ones don't. You can own as many packs as you like and start them later.
What you own
Unlock Money Smarts 100 on its own ($9.99 or a free credit) and it's yours forever, to replay any time. All Access opens every pack while you're subscribed. Credits never expire, so use them when you're ready.
Pack guide
How to use task details
The task title names the action. Open its details for the method, examples and any relevant precautions; Why explains the purpose. Save the stated output or record the action you actually took. Paper and other suitable tools are valid alternatives. Do not mark a real-world result complete merely because a planning note was written. Writing tasks can be done in Journal, on paper or anywhere you like. Linking them to Journal is optional.
Focus blocks
For any study or practice task: put your phone in another room or face down, write the one thing you will do, and set a timer for 10 to 25 minutes. When your mind wanders, notice it and come back. Stop when the timer rings and note where you got to.
Money Smarts or Money Reset?
Money Reset is about doing: logging spending, organizing bills and working toward one goal with your own records. Money Smarts is about understanding: each day you learn one money idea, like interest, credit reports or fees, and explain it with an example. They are separate packs and pair well. Smarts explains why a habit works; Reset helps you practice it. You can run either one alone, or both together if they fit within your active challenges.
