Every day has 3 goals: your daily core (the same every day), Task 2 and Task 3, each with a short why. Open a day to read all three.
Daily core Same every day
Practice a short dance sequence
Why: A short daily sequence keeps rhythm in your body, so each new move builds on the last.
Task 2
Find the beat and count in eights
Put on a song you love and clap along until your clap lands on the beat. Now count out loud, 1 to 8, over and over, and notice how the music changes every few eights. Then bounce your knees on the beat for four eights while counting. Then use it in your daily dance sequence.
Why: Almost every dance is counted in eights, and hearing them is the skill that makes choreography click.
Task 3
Make a dance playlist of 10 songs
Why: Songs you already love make you want to press play every single day.
Daily core Same every day
Practice a short dance sequence
Why: A short daily sequence keeps rhythm in your body, so each new move builds on the last.
Task 2
Learn the bounce and the rock
For the down bounce, bend your knees on every beat like you are sinking into the music. For the rock, shift your weight forward onto one foot and back again on the beat, letting your chest and shoulders follow. Do each for four eights, then mix them. Then use it in your daily dance sequence.
Why: Bounce and rock are the grooves under most dance styles, so every move after this sits on top of them.
Task 3
Write your two grooves
Write bounce and rock in your dance notes with one cue for each, such as sink into the beat.
Why: Written cues help you remember moves between practices.
Daily core Same every day
Practice a short dance sequence
Why: A short daily sequence keeps rhythm in your body, so each new move builds on the last.
Task 2
Step touch with your arms
Step your right foot to the side, bring your left foot in to touch, then step left and touch right. Keep it on the beat. Add arm swings, then a clap on each touch, then a double step touch: two steps each way. Then use it in your daily dance sequence.
Why: The step touch is the building block of group fitness, line dancing and choreography alike.
Task 3
Stretch your calves and hips for 5 minutes
Hold a calf stretch at a wall and a gentle hip stretch, about 30 seconds each, a few times through.
Why: Loose calves and hips make stepping on the beat feel easy instead of stiff.
Daily core Same every day
Practice a short dance sequence
Why: A short daily sequence keeps rhythm in your body, so each new move builds on the last.
Task 2
Learn your first eight count
Counts 1, 2: step touch right. 3, 4: step touch left. 5, 6: two bounces in place with a clap on 6. 7, 8: turn a quarter to your right and hit a pose on 8. Repeat it four times so you face all four walls, slowly at first. Then use it in your daily dance sequence.
Why: A full eight count, done to music, is the moment you go from moving to dancing.
Task 3
Write your eight count on a sticky note
Why: Writing counts down is how dancers remember choreography, and you will do it all pack long.
Daily core Same every day
Practice a short dance sequence
Why: A short daily sequence keeps rhythm in your body, so each new move builds on the last.
Task 2
Plan and review your first freestyle
Choose the moves you will use: bounce, rock, step touch and your first eight count. Dance the whole song without stopping in your daily dance sequence, using them wherever you like. Film it if you are up for it, just for you. Afterward, write one moment you loved.
Why: Freestyling with what you know shows you already have a style of your own.
Task 3
Save the video in a private folder
Move today's video into a private folder or album so it is easy to find later. No video today? Write a few lines about how the song felt and save them instead.
Why: A saved video or note gives you something real to look back on at the halfway mark.
Daily core Same every day
Practice a short dance sequence
Why: A short daily sequence keeps rhythm in your body, so each new move builds on the last.
Task 2
Learn the grapevine
Step your right foot to the side, cross your left foot behind it, step right again, then touch your left foot beside it with a clap. Go back the other way starting with your left. Practice slowly 8 times each way, then put it into your first eight count in place of the step touches. Then use it in your daily dance sequence.
Why: The grapevine travels you across the floor and shows up in dozens of dance styles.
Task 3
Write the grapevine counts
Write the grapevine and your updated first eight count in your dance notes.
Why: Written counts help new moves stick.
Daily core Same every day
Practice a short dance sequence
Why: A short daily sequence keeps rhythm in your body, so each new move builds on the last.
Task 2
Write this week's moves
Rest day. Write the moves you learned this week in a list, with one line on which felt most natural.
Why: A written list shows how much you learned in one week and what to keep practicing.
Task 3
Write down your favorite song from the week
Why: Knowing which song got you moving most helps you pick great music for the routines ahead.

How Dance 100 works
What you do each day
3 goals a day. Your daily core, Practice a short dance sequence, is the same every day. The other two are new each day: Task 2 builds the habit and Task 3 adds a different angle. Each one comes with a short why.
Time and effort
Most days fit around a normal day, all 3 goals together. Some days are lighter, and nothing needs to happen at a set time.
Difficulty and pace
Steady. Small daily steps that grow a little each week. Some days ask a bit more. Milestone badges at 10, 25, 50 and all 100 fully completed days mark how far you came.
Easier alternatives and rest days
Most goals have an easier alternative. “Choose an easier alternative” puts it in its place, and it counts the same as the original goal: the same square, streak and rewards. A rest day protects the streak on days life happens.
Pausing or switching
With another challenge going, you can pause this one any time. Resume later and you pick up on the same day you left. Remove it instead and your history stays: ticks, notes and photos. You always keep at least one challenge going. Up to 3 packs can be active at once, your main challenge included. Active and scheduled packs count; paused, finished and not started ones don't. You can own as many packs as you like and start them later.
What you own
Unlock Dance 100 on its own ($9.99 or a free credit) and it's yours forever, to replay any time. All Access opens every pack while you're subscribed. Credits never expire, so use them when you're ready.

How to use task details
The task title names the action. Open its details for the method, examples and any relevant precautions; Why explains the purpose. Save the stated output or record the action you actually took. Paper and other suitable tools are valid alternatives. Do not mark a real-world result complete merely because a planning note was written. Writing tasks can be done in Journal, on paper or anywhere you like. Linking them to Journal is optional.
Earn 4 milestone badges
10, 25, 50 and all 100 fully completed days of Dance 100: your first achievement, then bronze, silver and gold. Days finished late count too.
